Recap From Start to Finish – Team Eat Blog Run

We did it!
What a fabulous weekend we had hanging out with 14 amazing women! I couldn’t have asked for more kind, qualified, and beautiful people to party with at The Relay in Northern California. It was quite a roller coaster of the emotional, mental, and physical kind, but we got through and are better for [...]

“Come in Acadia 1, This is Acadia 2″!

This was our speak during the length of our relay. These were our call signs for walkie talkies and tweets to each of our sister cars up and down the coast of Northern California! And if you can’t tell from the picture below, we had a pretty good time last weekend!

Thank you to our friends [...]

T-shirts That Shout to the World… Eat Blog Run!

Our Eat Blog Run relay team was in need of some fabulous t-shirts to shout to the world who we were! I mean, come on, we’re Eat Blog Run! So Hanes stepped in with these lovely white fitted shirts. We also partnered up with YUDU for the green screen printing of our rockin’ image, thanks [...]

Crocs to the Rescue for our Tired Tootsies

Our tired little tootsies were singing Crocs praises after we ran over the river and through the woods on our course of The Relay! Happily, Crocs sponsored a pair of cute green flip flops for each runner, helping us keep in good form in between runs.

Here we are all in a fun little row sporting [...]

We Ate, We Blogged, We Ran…We’re Tired!

We’ll have lots of fun and fabulous updates all about our race, with pictures and video about the craziness that ensued! But for a day or two, we’re still catching up on sleep, laundry, and icing our knees!
For a quick update on our relay, check out our Twitter stream at #eatblogrun or see Emmie’s live [...]

Blistex is Saving Our Lips

Thanks to our friends at Blistex, our lovely lips will be kept hydrated and medicated all through our relay. It’s SPF 15, helping shade the sun from blistering our mouths while we run, as we’ll be running for 200 miles. That’s a lot of sunny and windy weather.

The best part is that they are sending [...]

Ramping Up the Conditioning

Since I was late to the game in terms of signing up for EatBlogRun, I felt like I needed to pump my training into overdrive.  I was in the process of trying to work out five to six days a week; EatBlogRun pretty much guaranteed I met that goal (awesome perk, btw).
When it comes to [...]

Hydrating

When I was in high school, I joined a new soccer team with a coach who actually paid attention to our overall approach to training – not just which soccer drills we did when. One weekend we were to play in a tournament somewhere in the Central Valley where the temperature was forecasted to surpass [...]

A Little Prep for One Week to Go

Cut your toe nails. You don’t want them to turn purple and fall off after the race!

Shave your legs. Maybe this has been my problem for being so slow. If I shave my legs, maybe it will cut minutes off my time!

Middle of the night run. Try waking up in the middle of the night [...]

Ready To Rock (I Hope!)

I hope I’m not jinxing myself by writing this, but I’m feeling really excited about Eat. Blog. Run. As in, I’ve moved from the petrified zone to the optimistic one. I’ve been training well — logging 3-4 runs per week the last 8 weeks. And I’ve been eating well too. Inspired by my fellow Shredhead [...]
