Recap From Start to Finish – Team Eat Blog Run

We did it!
What a fabulous weekend we had hanging out with 14 amazing women! I couldn’t have asked for more kind, qualified, and beautiful people to party with at The Relay in Northern California. It was quite a roller coaster of the emotional, mental, and physical kind, but we got through and are better for [...]

Rest, Run, Run, Run Again, & Then Relax at the Country Inn and Suites

We were thrilled to have The Country Inn and Suites sponsor our hotel for our stay during our relay. The location in Sunnyvale, CA couldn’t have been a better spot to stay, as it was really close to our relay route.
When we first arrived, we were greeted with this fruit and electrolyte drink basket in [...]

Crocs to the Rescue for our Tired Tootsies

Our tired little tootsies were singing Crocs praises after we ran over the river and through the woods on our course of The Relay! Happily, Crocs sponsored a pair of cute green flip flops for each runner, helping us keep in good form in between runs.

Here we are all in a fun little row sporting [...]

Marathon Cookies

The cookies I made for The Relay are derived from Heidi Swanson’s 101 Cookbooks Marathon Cookie recipe. Heidi writes that she didn’t want her cookies to be too sweet, and that she was looking for bright, crisp flavors. I’m not a huge fan of the aniseed/licorice flavor, but wanted the “spice” pop she describes.

Thanks to GM for providing Acadias for the Relay

While Jane is deciding whether to pull off a ponytail or a supermodel look, our vehicles will be ready either way.

I’m thrilled (and extremely grateful) to report that GM is providing us with Acadias to drive for the duration of The Relay (AKA Eat.Blog.Run.Drive). The Acadia is a “crossover” meaning it’s not quite a car [...]
