Rest, Run, Run, Run Again, & Then Relax at the Country Inn and Suites
We were thrilled to have The Country Inn and Suites sponsor our hotel for our stay during our relay. The location in Sunnyvale, CA couldn’t have been a better spot to stay, as it was really close to our relay route.
When we first arrived, we were greeted with this fruit and electrolyte drink basket in our rooms, perfect for us running athletes! There was a kind note from the manager thanking us for staying with them and giving us encouragement for our long running weekend ahead. They even filled our refrigerator with chilled water, Gatorade and Olade! It was very nice and unexpected.
We also hit up the buffet for breakfast each morning and wore our fantastic sparkley skirts. I bet they’ve never had so much bling going through the breakfast line! Waffles anyone?
One of my favorite things about the hotel was their toilet flush in their bathrooms. This might seem a little silly to blog about, but I found it refreshing that they are trying their best to be aware of the environment. The half filled dot is for a light flush and the full filled dot is for a more powerful flush. I need one of these installed in my house, as my little ones like to flush the toilet all the time just to see it swirl down. At least with this toilet, they could do so without wasting so much water!

Country Inn and Suites was awesome and I’m hugely grateful they supported us. The handwritten note and healthy drinks and snacks were such a nice surprise.
And seriously, I have never enjoyed a bed (and breakfast following) so much as I did after our night legs.

I was very touched and grateful for the note and goodies in the room. I enjoyed a little of everything. I really really appreciated that bed from 4 am to 6:48 am. And the shower was a little splash of heaven.
Wow, that is really sweet! I love businesses that make a greater effort for their customers (seems like all business (should) do that, but really they don’t)! And that flush thing on the toilet is AWESOME! I’m very impressed right now with Country Inn and Suites.
It is funny saying it out load, but I LOVED the flush options too! And those pillows felt divine when you haven’t slept in what felt like days.
And finding the nice note and goodies in our room was a great way to begin our fab Eat. Blog. Run. adventure. THanks Country Inn and Suites!
Pillows, those pillows! I know we were dead tired and probably could have slept anywhere (and…we did actually at times…sleep anywhere), but the beds at The Country Inn and Suites were so comfy. Divine. Thanks much!
