I forever have loved running on my own. But I do love the little community we've forged here because it's been so motivating and inspiring. I love learning about all of you too!

This team also holds me accountable in my training and my end goal, and I need that too!

Love this blog. I am learning the same thing and that although running is a sport of personal bests, it's all about community and I absolutely love that. I have recently started running again seriously and couldn't do it without community. I have recently started running with the east nasties here in Nashville and they are great. Thanks so much for the post, I look forward to reading more.

I am convinced I enjoy my longer runs more than the shorter ones because I my longer runs are done with friends. I started running later in life (just a short year and a half ago) and I am so lucky to have inspiring friends close by who are determined in their athletic endeavors. Our GNO's usually consist of biking, swimming or running with a treat afterward and I love it. Now I love having an online community of women runners too!

I so know what you mean. When my kids were really little, it was hard to find the time to run, let alone the people to run with. Preschool moms aren't known for their running habits, but surprisingly, I found my current running group through another preschool mom. Still, without the support I get through blogging, twittering and dailymile, it would be hard to keep at it as well as I do. I think that it is fantastic that these communities are being created online, and it is fun to be able to meet these people in real life. I really like what you guys are doing with the blogging group doing the relay together. You will have so much fun!
